Whisky – Uisge Beatha, The Water of Life is an illustrated guide to the history and production of whisky worldwide with special chapters on key families in the industry, international advertising and guides on where to taste and buy whiskies. Helen won the Best Spirits Book in the World Award for this book in 2000.
Teachers Tale
A Teacher’s Tale was published in 2005 to celebrate the 175th anniversary of William Teacher’s first whisky shop and the creation and development of Teacher's Highland Cream Blended Scotch Whisky. Other publications include Whisky Jottings with Caroline Dewar.
Connoisseurs Guide to Whisky
The Whiskey Companion (USA) and The Connoisseurs Guide to Whisky (UK) same book different titles was published in 2008 with overseas translations in the pipeline. This book looks at single malts, blends and other whiskies from around the world.
Still Whisky and Watercolours is the working title for a series of books featuring Helen’s own paintings of whisky distilleries throughout Scotland. The first covering the islands of Islay, Jura, Skye, Mull and Orkney is scheduled for publication at the end of 2008.
